Welcome to our private portal where you can submit an entry to the Leicester Writes Short Story Prize. You might think of it as the champion of champions prize, as it’s only open to previously longlisted authors.
There is no fee to submit your entry but please do read through our rules to ensure that your work is eligible.

Please use the form below to submit your entry. As we read submissions blind please do not put your name on your entry or in your file name. Your file must be saved as a .doc or .docx file otherwise it may not be accepted. There is no fee to submit your work to this year’s prize.
The closing date for submissions is 23:59 on 31st July 2026.
If you would like a short feedback report of up to 300 words on your story please indicate this by choosing the option below. The cost for this service is £30 and feedback reports will be released by the end of September by the latest.
